COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus) is projected to hit seniors harder than any other population in California. As such, much will be asked of you to avoid infection for yourself and for those you love.
The Governor has issued an order that requires seniors to stay at home unless travelling for medical necessity or to pick up food or other needed supplies. The virus is new in humans, and no one is immune. While it can be treated successfully in a majority of cases, the sheer number of people may severely stretch California’s available hospital space. We cannot let this happen.
The best thing you can do is to say informed. To that end, please visit THIS WEBSITE for what you need to know.
The California Department of Public Health and the California Department of Aging are providing regular updates of what you need to know. Finally, please wash your hands and stay away from others. Maintain a “social distance” of six feet between yourself and all others.
This will not be easy. But with your help, California can get through this.
