Cooper: Lodi Selected as Wine Region of the Year

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Jim Cooper (D-Elk Grove) took to the floor of the State Assembly to celebrate and congratulate the Lodi Winegrape Commission, all of the Lodi vintners and winegrape growers for being selected as Wine Region of the Year. In his remarks, Assemblymember Cooper pointed out, “In 1990 Lodi was home to only eight wineries. Now its home to over 85 wineries and more than 110-thousand acres of wine grapes consisting of more than 100 varieties and as distinguished itself as one of the nation’s major wine growing regions.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
